A poetic journey along the Tuscan archipelago till the emrald-green coasts of Sardinia
|
Azzurra’s Blue is the story of a blue whale made of papier-mâché, created for the famous Viareggio Carnival by a passionate master craftsman. His hands pasted pages of art and literature on Azzurra’s body, so she is given the curiosity to know and experience life. After winning the first prize for the best allegorical float, Azzurra – instead of being stored in a hangar with all other allegorical floats –begins her poetic journey along the Tuscan archipelago till the emrald-green coasts of Sardinia. Through wonderful landscapes in search of a new dimension, Azzurra meets various peculiar creatures while firmly hoping for a metamorphosis. The story is interwoven with the threads of poetic memory and many other stories that Azzurra’s body gives back to the sea as it undoes in the water.
The sea wraps up those treasures of knowledge and writing which can be unveiled by those sensitive spirits/minds willing to perceive them.
Azzurra’s Blue offers many reading journeys/paths to all curious travelers of any age.
